It's a snowy day, and Murphy is showing off his snowman when his warm red mitten slips off and slides away. It stops by the woodpile, where a mouse crawls inside to get cozy and scurries off with it. At the top of the hill the mouse rides the mitten like a sled, whee, all the way down the mountainside, until it bumps the mailbox post and the mitten pops right into the mailbox. Then a friendly moose clomps up, lifts the mitten out with its antlers and carries it back to Murphy.
Every one of them starts with the letter M. Can your Couch Buddy name them all?

Each word pops up next to a big letter M, and Murphy says “M is for…” after each one, so kids see the letter and hear its sound together.
Close your lips and hum “mmm,” like when something tastes yummy. Kids can feel their lips tickle. It's the first sound in mitten and moose.
Start at the middle line and draw a short line down. Go back up, make a hump over and down, then another hump over and down. The Trace It game shows that order with arrows.
