Murphy's cool red toy car zooms off down the street, and the chase is on! A curious cat bops it through the garden, a friendly cow sends it over the hill with a big MOO, and a little red crab carries it sideways across the beach. Out in the desert, a kind camel gives the car a ride on its hump, all the way back to Murphy.

Download free PDFMurphy chases his toy car through five places, and every friend he meets starts with the hard “c” sound: car, cat, cow, crab and camel. Each word pops up next to a big letter C, and Murphy says “C is for…” after each one, so kids see the letter and hear its sound together.
C makes two sounds. The hard c in cat and car is the one kids meet first and the one most early words use. The soft c in city and circle comes later, usually once a child is reading.
Start at the top right, curve up and around to the left, and finish at the bottom right, like drawing most of a circle. The Trace It game shows the same path with arrows.
