FOR GROWN-UPS
A guide for parents and teachers
Streaming Potato is a free network of short cartoon adventures for kids ages 3 to 6. Our star is Murphy, a laid-back couch potato with a TV remote, a rocket-powered armchair and a lot of favorite shows. Every video on the site is one of those shows, and Murphy flies right into the adventure.
The shows are stories first. In each one, Murphy sets off after something he wants: a runaway apple, a lost kite, a birthday surprise. Along the way he keeps running into the same letter, number, color or shape, and he meets a few friendly characters who help. Kids aren't sitting through a lesson. They're following a story, and the learning comes along for the ride.
What's on every episode page
- The show: a short pixel-art cartoon adventure, about 2 to 4 minutes long, with its own sing-along song.
- The story and who Murphy meets: a short summary you can talk through together before or after watching.
- Things we found: pictures of everything Murphy discovered, so kids can name them again.
- Sing along: the full words to the episode's original song.
- Play the adventure: a gentle game built around that episode, such as tracing, popping or matching.
- A free activity sheet: a printable to trace, find and color. No sign-up.
- Keep the adventure going at home: three screen-free ideas that continue the story in real life.
How to use it
A simple rhythm works well: watch the show together, play the game once or twice, then print the activity sheet for later. The home activities are there for the moments away from screens, like snack time, a walk outside or a rainy afternoon.
Young kids love repetition, so don't worry if your child wants the same show again. Hearing the song and spotting the same things a second or third time is part of the fun.
The four series
Letter Adventures covers A to Z, one letter per show, starting with the most common sound each letter makes. Number Adventures counts from 1 to 10. Color Adventures visits eight colors and shows how some of them mix. Shape Adventures finds circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, ovals and stars in everyday things.
Our games never say "game over"
Every game on Streaming Potato is forgiving. There are no lives, no timers and no losing. A wrong tap gets a friendly wiggle and a chance to try again, and finishing earns stars. Prompts are spoken out loud, so kids who can't read yet can still play on their own.
Safety and privacy
Streaming Potato is made for kids, and we built it that way on purpose. There are no accounts, sign-ups, comment boxes or chat. We don't collect personal information from anyone. Videos only load from YouTube when someone presses play. If we show ads, they are contextual only: they're based on the page, never on who is watching. You can read the details in our privacy policy.
Every show is gentle and cheerful, with friendly characters and nothing scary.
